International Association of Ports & Harbors (IAPH) dedicated one day out of its three-day Africa/Europe Regional Meeting to the World Ports Climate Initiative (WPCI) and WPCI’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality. The WPCI member ports that volunteered to be project ports showcased their Projects in Progress at the meeting, which took place on November 16-18, 2009, in Hamburg, Germany. Hosted by Hamburg Port Authority, the regional meeting focused on four of the six Projects in Progress by hearing from representatives of the ports responsible for the projects.
